How the NRMA is planning the next stage of EV charging for Australians
From the transition from horse and cart to automobiles in the 1920s, to the dawn of the electric vehicle era today, NRMA has been a trusted guide, tackling the evolving challenges of transportation.
Now, we are readying to take the next ambitious step in our mission to be a reliable and trustworthy electric vehicle resource for our members, to make sure no Australian is left behind when it comes to the EV transition. Some of these highlights include:
- Australia's first truly national network
- State-based networks starting with NSW and QLD
- More units, more kW output, higher redundancy
-Introducing a user pays system
- Private partnerships

A big thank you to NRMA for supporting the rollout of EV's over many years.
While some have been quick to complain about the down time of some of the chargers, they forget that in most regional towns, there was little to no other charging options available to encourage people to travel to regional destinations. Not to mention the double edged sword of providing free charging.
A big thumbs up for rolling out a user pays system starting today!
