Sydney to the Barossa and back using NRMA chargers
We recently completed a 2,922km trip from Sydney through Canberra, Wagga, Hay to the Barossa Valley then return through Hay and Cowra.
On that route, we used several Destination Chargers at Motels and were very appreciative of the NRMA chargers strategically located along our route. We are NRMA members and will be even happier when some of the single sites get upgraded to two units and also when NRMA starts charging money as well as having an App to show availability.
We had problems with the Hay charger which stopped after 20 to 30 mins three times. Then it happened again on the return trip. We relinquished the charger to another gentleman who was more desperate than us and ti stopped four times for him. Very frustrating.
I put a comment in PLugshare about the problem but not sure if NRMA would have read that, hence posting here.

Hello @Kerr, Firstly thanks for being an NRMA Member. It's always great to hear that! Definitely sorry to hear about the issues at Hay. We do have staff available 24/7 that can sometimes help with troubleshooting, should there be an issue, but our EV team also monitor charger use and analytics to report any issues to our provider to investigate.
Please know we are aware of the improvements needed, especially as some of our units were launched in 2018. We are replacing older units as well as looking to diversify the charger brand too so we can offer a range of different chargers at our sites.
We know there's still work to be done to improve and it's something we are passionate about doing.
Aside from the hiccups, I really hope your trip was amazing too. Any particular highlights or places you'd recommend EV owners need to visit?
