three phase power points- cheap and easy solution in the regions
being an ev driver who drives around the regional areas i have come to the realisation that three-phase-power-points (5 pin) are the answer to the lack of chargers. the fast chargers are good for the main towns but are too expensive to expect them in small towns and localities. whereas t-p-p-points are cheap and easy to install. (a special cord is needed and isn't cheap but it would be worth it). having 3ppp in small towns and localities would enable people to spend more time (because 3ppp charging takes much longer than fast chargers) to enjoy these places instead of driving through. it would also take pressure off the fast chargers and allow them to be used for people in a hurry. 3ppp could be either be provided free of charge to use (paid for by the local community to encourage visitation/tourist dollars) or be attached to a payment platform. also the fast chargers and intermediate chargers being put in by private companies are rolling out and being installed in the wrong places and worst of all they are charging way too much because of their incompetence and profiteering drive. and they are so unreliable and slow to repair. whereas the 3ppp is a very reliable power outlet and can be installed easily and can be done by any electrician. councils and many civic groups are perfectly placed to initiate the rollout of these 3ppp. does anyone else think that this is the solution to infill the areas on the map where there are no chargers?

Rather than install a 3 phase power point (which requires everyone to have an expensive 3 phase portable EVSE), why not just install 3 phase untethered sockets on a post like this one?
