About me

In June 2023 a number of passionate people from within our local community had come together to form a new group to address the area of electrification in our region, under the name of ‘Border Regional Electrification Events Inc’ [BREE]. The purposes of this group are to: • provide an administrative platform for electrification events in the AW region • update and inform Albury-Wodonga’s regional community on developments in transport electrification. • inspire younger members of the community to consider careers in renewable energy technologies. • integrate electric vehicles into the renewable energy systems at the home, community, and regional levels. In November 2023, our group was approached by Russell Klose [Kilowatt Cars] and Kate Nottingham [director - Eldorado Off-Grid Living Festival] to assist in developing an electrification theme that will extend their festival at their new [and much larger] 2024 location at the former Chiltern Racecourse.
